  1. I would love some clarity on this new edition; especially since it's mandatory. What will happen if we don't set a display name?
  2. Only offer what you can do and can deliver in a timely matter. Having a lot of gigs doesn't guarantee you'll get a lot of orders.
  3. Buyers Request was implemented as a means to help buyers find potential sellers to work on their project(s). It was never meant to be a permanent source for finding work. Obtaining clients is up to the seller and fiverr has provided many professional development resources over the years to assist with this (the Learning Center, Blog and past Podcasts). If you do a search of the forums on how to get clients, you will get posts by seasoned professionals on how to go about putting your best foot forward to get the attention of potential clients. By seasoned professionals, I'm talking about the ones that leave meaningful responses, not suggestions of the likes of spamming social media and contacting buyers without permission. The suggestion of creating a Buyers Request system like that of Upwork is a bad idea as it's based on a bidding system and may attract the wrong kind of buyers. There are some marketplaces I'm familiar with who have a Buyers Request equivalent, but it's restricted to a chosen few which I know some will complain if that style of Buyers Request gets implemented here. Fiverr is constantly changing, and many sellers are adapting to the ever-changing environment.
  4. It's not new but I'm mainly playing Hero Wars (both on the standalone and FB platforms). There are a lot of in-game events being released back-to-back but majority of the players are trying to hold out for the new additions due to arrive in a few weeks.
  5. Some users have been experiencing issues with the W9 form since it was first rolled out. Your best bet is to contact Customer Support about the issue to see if they can offer some assistance.
  6. Just seeing this brought back memories of past BR posts where clients were requesting freelancers that had published x-amount of articles on big name business publication sites to write for them. Fiverr mentioned some years ago that the BR section was going to get an overhaul so it could be more relevant. That never happened and I'm sure clients have already bookmarked their favorite/preferred Fiverr freelancers to work with. I wouldn't mind seeing it go.
  7. Do you know if they'll make an announcement about the upcoming changes or where one is posted?
  8. BR is unpredictable. If you're not seeing buyer requests, then it means no posts have been made for your gig category.
  9. If you're not seeing buyer requests, then it means no posts have been made for your gig category.
  10. Buyers Request has needed attention for years and reporting rule breakers doesn't do much. I remember when it wasn't restricted to the gigs that were offered. As soon as the new changes were implemented, BR became unpredictable. I personally, would have loved to see the planned job board that was promised way back when. And based on all the changes and news releases of late, I doubt Buyers Request will get the TLC it needs any time soon.
  11. The top three that get me are be online 24/7, send BR daily and share to social media. These three also prompt posts inquiring why they aren't showing online, why they aren't getting BR (often times back-to-back posts) in addition to inquiries about where to share their link. Of the three BR and social media sharing drive me bonkers. Having to explain that an empty BR is not bug is tiring. Worse yet, explaining that sharing to social media (especially without clarity) will lead to another round of blacklisting fiverr links. Hopefully this gets pinned along with the other useful posts.
  12. A guaranteed A? They are really out of touch with the way instructors grade. Teachers know how their students write (speaking from experience) and if they submitted something written by someone else the teacher will know immediately. Curious. Isn't there a screening process for posting in BR?
  13. Is there a way to get this pinned? Three and five captures some pain points that are brought up a lot in discussions. Five tops the list as some buyers request sample work using the information from their soon-to-be order, but as soon as a seller suggests paying for said sample the buyer disappears.
  14. Back in August, a News post was made about cleaning up the forum. Here are some items I hope they address in addition to what was mentioned in the post. Revival of Old Posts. This will be nice to see as there were several topics revived that date back to 2016. Yes, the information therein are relevant; however, a simple reaction emoji will suffice. Repeat Topics. Often within minutes of each other. I wouldn't mind seeing a feature where we could nominate posts for pinning or at least collect them all in a single location for reference as they answer these repeat questions extensively. Forum Orientation. Not sure if this is possible but a way to ensure that new users know and understand how the forums work. This includes understanding the different areas along with what can be posted where. After completing orientation successfully, they'll be given x-amount of points. For each infraction that goes against what was learned, a point is deducted. When the number gets to zero, the user will be on probation for a month (no commenting nor posting privileges) and will have to go through the orientation process again. A designated section for celebrating achievements. Just a section for all the posts celebrating their nth order, x-amount of tip, repeat customer, etc. It would just be nice to have as it will take the guess work out of where to post these types of things. OR create a mega celebratory post for sharing this information so they aren't clogging the other sections. It's not an exhaustive list but it's a start.
  15. The Community Rules and Guidelines as read read-only was suggested months ago but it doesn't seem to be in place. The Super Bowl section was for the promo when fiverr got a SB spot. The new look is nice but it would be nicer if there were a dark mode option. This new look is going to take some getting use to but now I have to see what can and can't be hidden from view.
