  1. Yes, the issue is that they're refusing to reinstate the gig
  2. Yes. I'm very strict I always say I never rewrite
  3. Oh. But I do theses for MScs and PHDs. It's proofreading I don't write anything
  4. Cheers, yes I've reached out to Michelle. It would be great if it was resolved. I hate AI generated content (it's repetitive) so maybe it's got more to learn about keywords!
  5. Hi guys. I like to change my gig text every now and then. I did so this afternoon and added in theses and academic papers (meaning university research papers). My gig was immediately denied by Fiverr. I then asked them to look at it again. And they just said it's still denied you shouldn't have used "academic". I'm from the UK, and to us, academic papers mean anything at the MSc or PhD level, certainly not school children's essays! I would obviously change it to say research papers, but Fiverr just doesn't seem to understand. Then they rub salt in the wound by telling me where to go to set up a good gig!! Does anyone know a way of getting a denied gig back?
  6. I had this happen to me. What I discovered was that I'd missed someone asking me a question on their first contact with me.
  7. Yes, absolutely. I’ve been fulfilling the TRS levels for years and usually have a queue and thousands of 5 star reviews but have still not made it. I remain hopeful…
  8. Although I’m not a TRS I fully agree with what you say Frank. I’ve been making very reasonable money as a level 2 without being a TRS. Don’t get me wrong I’d still like to be a TRS but from a business point of view I’m happy.
  9. Totally agree with what you’re saying. What amazes me is that some buyers want samples of proofreading. Again, scam sellers could buy a proofreading gig from any proofreader and then present the results as their own. I’ve never used samples anyway because I don’t really think my clients want any of their work displayed on the Internet.
  10. I would agree with what you’ve put. Certainly, when I was a new seller I made mistakes. However, I did try and have a good description and some FAQs to start me off. At first, I used a snap of me as the gig image but then I moved to using a pro photo, which I think helps. Jim PS, I’m sorry but with my proofreader/copy editor’s hat on…it’s not “further due” it’s “further ado.”
  11. That’s a good point. Nowadays I refer buyers asking for samples to my blog where there are hundreds of posts to sift through!
  12. That’s an extremely logical way of doing it. I believe the serious Fiverr returning buyers use much the same process. And your explanation shows how other buyers are likely to be impressed by sellers.
