  1. I'm not sure if back dating the new seller rating system based on historic data is even legal to be honest. I think their breaking their own TOS. I fulfilled my end of the contract, I delivered all that was required of me to maintain my seller level status. Now they change to a new system and consider all of that historic data when determining your seller level. Thats a breach of contract you can't go back in time and change the terms of a contract. They can change the terms of the contract starting today. But what am I supposed to do if they back date it should I build a time machine and work on the last two years of projects differently? I kept my end of bargain and I fulfilled my obligations to maintain my seller level. You can't retrospectively change the goal posts of a contract when it effects peoples business outcomes in the present. I'll be pursuing this with fiverr support because from a legal perspective I am honestly not sure if it stacks up.
  2. Its completely f****d in my opinion. I've got 99 percent 5 star reviews on my gig. And it says "Client satisfaction Strong negative impact" Ok so having 99 percent 5 star reviews on the gig means my client satisfaction is having a strong negative impact? Are you insane? Also I have about 1 cancellation a year where me and a client can't agree. The rest of them is clients ordering by mistake. But yet is says "Order cancellations Strong negative impact" So in my opinion there is no other explanation other than they must be counting historic cancellations that they said would have no negative impact on my gig. It's outrageous. I mean I really do have about 1 cancellation a year. I've been top level seller consistently for 5 years and have never dropped down. Then all of a sudden they say my cancellations are having a strong negative impact? When support have cancelled all of them for me and removed them from my cancellation score?! And the client satisfaction thing is nonsensical. I was on the beta for the fiverr seller plus thing and my fiverr seller plus handler was a senior guy on the fiverr team. He told me my review track record was one of the best he'd ever seen. Thats why I got put on the beta. They test out the new features on the top people. This is utter garbage.
  3. Anyones thoughts on whether to use this? I initially turned my nose up at it even though i've also wanted this feature for ages and i'll tell you why. Because even though direct orders that I haven't properly qualified through engaging with the client first are basically always the ones that go wrong, a portion of them are still fine. So I took the position that I guess its better to have the odd cancelation with a buyer who hasn't properly discussed their requirements with me and also have this additional revenue of direct orders which went smoothly, rather than not have those cancelations and also not have the additional revenue of the direct orders which went smooth. But now today fiverr changed their review policy which now means if a buyer cancels an active order with an upcoming deadline then they can leave a public review. Unless they literally ordered by mistake. You can envisage a situation where perhaps a client has a massive misunderstanding of the creative process and ridiculous expectations which often direct orders do because these are people that might not understand the need to communicate first and discuss all of the possibilities of a creative project before committing to the deliverables, these buyers will now be able to review you if the order is cancelled. Do you really want a buyer saying something like this seller misrepresents their services! they lie about their prices (coz they their incapable of reading or understanding your extras lol), not capable of delivering what they say they will deliver! etc etc. These all of the kinds of things i've been accused of simply because people don't understand the creative process and they haven't communicated with me first to discuss all of the possible variables and so I haven't been able to manage their expectations. And so I feel like i'm forced to turn this feature on now so I can filter out the "crazies" before they can even order because how can I let them loose on a review?
